Cottage Cheese Please!

One of my favorite go-to mini meals is cottage cheese. It’s quick, convenient, and packed with protein. While I occasionally eat it plain, I usually top it with something. Most of the time I take leftover grilled veggies or steamed broccoli and add it to the cottage cheese and then put some hot sauce on top.

Other ways to enjoy cottage cheese…

  • add peach slices and sprinkle with cinnamon
  • mix in salsa and scoop it up with whole grain crackers
  • mix in tomato sauce, warm in the microwave, and eat with pita chips
  • Top off your egg
  • Use it to replace sour cream or butter on your baked potato
  • Rather than ricotta cheese in dishes like lasagna (or my baked bolognese), try using cottage cheese
  • hollow out a tomato, fill with cottage cheese, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning (my daughter, Aleyah’s favorite!)
